LUFMAX Downdraft Sanding Booths are self-contained dust collection workstations designed to capture fine particles generated during sanding, polishing, grinding and surface preparation. The booth combines downdraft and backdraft airflow to draw dust away from the operator and into the integrated filtration system.
This type of dust cabinet is suitable for furniture factories, woodworking shops, cabinet and door manufacturers, automotive repair facilities, composite processing workshops and metal fabrication plants. It provides localized dust control without requiring every workstation to be connected to a large centralized duct network.
How Does a Downdraft Sanding Booth Work?
During sanding or polishing, airborne particles are drawn downward through the working area and backward toward the filtration wall. This dual-suction airflow helps capture dust close to the source before it spreads into the surrounding workshop.
Dust-laden air passes through the filter cartridges, where particles are separated from the airflow. An automatic pulse-jet cleaning system removes accumulated dust from the filter surface, helping maintain stable suction during continuous operation.
Collected dust falls into accessible dust drawers for convenient removal and routine maintenance.
Dust Cabinet Applications
A Downdraft Sanding table can be used for a range of manual surface-processing operations, including:
- Furniture panel sanding
- Cabinet door polishing
- Wooden door surface preparation
- Solid wood furniture finishing
- Primer and coating sanding
- Composite material polishing
- Metal grinding and deburring
- Automotive body repair
- Irregular component surface finishing
For woodworking applications, the booth helps collect fine sanding dust from MDF, plywood, solid wood and coated furniture components.
